Paul van Laere

Born in 1954. Son of the sculptor / designer Carel van Laere.
From 1974 until 1979 attended the Royal Academy of Arts in Den Haag I also worked as a full time stonecutter for about 6 years.
From 1979 until present I work as a stone-sculptor ; apart from my free-work I also work on sculpture restauration projects, mostly for stonecutters, cities, and museums.
From 1982 until 2003 I taught portrait-modelling at the Academie, Voorschoten, The Netherlands
From 1977 onwards I have had several expositions of my work.
Until 2003 at my permanent gallery Arti Forum in Voorburg, The Netherlands. But also at the Kunstrai in Amsterdam and in Paris, France.
The larger part of my work is bought by private collectors. Some sculptures were acquired by the cities of Den Haag , Rotterdam and Voorburg.
