Garbačiauskas Ričardas
Ričardas Garbačiauskas (born October 17, 1956 in Vilnius) – Lithuanian artist, painter.
In 1980, he graduated from the Institute of Arts of the Lithuanian SSR, specializing in painting.
Since 1991, he has worked at the Faculty of Arts of Šiauliai University, from 1996 to 2000, he was the dean of this faculty, from 2000 to 2005, he was the vice-dean, and since 2006, he has been a professor at the Department of Art of the Faculty of Arts.
Since 1982, he has participated in various exhibitions and plein airs, both in Lithuania and abroad – in Sweden, the Netherlands, Estonia, and Latvia. Since 1992, he has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union, and since 2009, he has been the chairman of the Šiauliai branch of the Artists’ Union. Member of the Šiauliai LIONS “Alka” club.
In the earlier stage – symbolic depiction of a person with stylistic elements of surrealism. Later works – abstract compositions inspired by the changing moods of nature.
