Gataveckai Algirdas ir Remigijus

Algirdas and Remigijus Gataveckai were born in 1985 in Alytus. The brothers showed artistic talent even in their childhood. When they were 5 years old, they organized their first exhibition of drawings and paintings at the “Alytus Weekly Kindergarten”. After graduating from school, they entered the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where they completed their master’s degree in monumental art (fresco-mosaic). The artists participate in group exhibitions, international symposiums, fairs, various competitions, breakdance tournaments, and organize personal exhibitions.

The Gataveckai brothers, professional breakdancers, first surprised everyone in 2009 by participating in the television show “Lithuanian Talents”, and in 2012, at the contemporary art fair “Art Vilnius’12”, Litexpo, they simply stunned everyone as artists. For the project “Impact”, the authors were awarded the best artists of the international contemporary art fair “Art Vilnius’12” (chosen by the audience).
