Characteristic expression, generalized drawing, bright color contrasts, energetic pastotic painting, expressive texture, improvisation, symbolism of images
In 1981. awarded the State Prize for the cycle of landscapes.

Art critic’s insight:
Jusionis is primarily an unrivaled autumn painter. He perfectly conveys the bright color combinations of frost-bitten leaves, clay soil, dry branches, and the vigor of wind gusts. The texture of the painting is no less important to him than expressive color. He applies paint with broad gestures and very thickly, creating almost relief, roughened surfaces of the paintings.
