Martinionis Rytis

Artist, member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union

Born on May 23, 1961 in Šeduva, Radviliškis district.

In 1985, he graduated from the Tallinn Art Institute of the Republic of Estonia with a degree in art glass. He has been participating in exhibitions since 1989. Personal exhibitions: Klaipėda Art Exhibition Hall, Klaipėda (1989), BAROTI Gallery, Klaipėda (1993, 1996, 1999, 2000), Bohema Gallery, Klaipėda (1993). Group exhibitions: Gallery “Vartai”, Vilnius (1990), exhibition with the group “Lost Generation”, Klaipėda (1992), “Vija Marguta” gallery quarter, Rome (1995), “Lietuva’97, Galleries Present”, Contemporary Art Center, Vilnius (1997), Klaipėda County Artists’ Union members’ exhibition, Klaipėda Exhibition Hall (1998), Baltic Culture Center, Sweden (1999), Gallery “Maj”, Denmark (2001), Kap Arkone, Germany (2001). Since 1997. Member of the Klaipėda County Artists’ Union. Since 1988. teaches drawing and composition at the Klaipėda E. Balsys Arts Gymnasium. Since 2002. Member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union. He mainly creates in the fields of painting, stained glass, and assemblage.
