Mėčius Arūnas

Born on March 26, 1965 in Klaipėda city to Antanas and Zita.

In 1972-1983, he studied at Klaipėda secondary school No. 19.

In 1983-1985, he performed compulsory service in the USSR army. After serving in the Soviet army, he studied at the 52nd School of Fine Crafts, where he acquired the specialty of a 4th category decorator. The skills of this specialty were honed at the Vilnius Electromechanical Plant “ELFA”.

Since 1990, he has been pursuing higher education. He begins with the Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute, and ends in 1997 at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphics. After completing his master’s studies at this Academy, Arūnas Mėtis is awarded a Master of Fine Arts degree. Currently, he works at the Klaipėda Children’s Art School, as a teacher of painting and graphics.

Since 2002, a full member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union.

Died on May 24, 2043.
