In 1978, he graduated from the Lithuanian Institute of Arts, his teachers were Jonas Švažas and Vincentas Gečas. He mainly painted paintings with images of urban architecture (Vilnius Old Town, Užupis), everyday life (Užupis, “Photo for Remembrance” 1986, “Tower of Babel II” 1996, “Foreign City”, “White Chair”, both 1998, “Alice’s House”, “Noon”, both 2001, “Golden Night” 2005). The main motifs are fragments of culture and urban civilization, in the paintings the buildings are like living organisms affected by the laws of decay; there is a clear sense of loss and unfulfillment. The works are almost monochrome, with detailed drawings, and the compositions unexpectedly intertwine fragments of the realistic world, surreal architectural, associative landscapes, and irrational motifs. She painted clocks, created collages (“Summer Clothes” 2001), objects (“Essential Things” 1998).
Since 1979 she has participated in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad (Finland, Germany, Turkey, Russia, Great Britain), individual exhibitions: Vilnius – 1986, 1992-1996, 2000, 2003, 2008, Cologne – 1993, Šiauliai – 1995-1996, 1998, 2001, Klaipėda – 1996, 1999, 2001, Warsaw – 1998, Hartola, Finland – 2000.
