Orzekauskienė Laima

Laima Oržekauskienė was born on 13 February 1959 in Vilnius. In 1980-85 she studied at the State Institute of Arts (now the VDA KDI), obtaining a textile specialist’s degree. Since 1987 she has been teaching at the VDA Kaunas Institute of Arts (professor since 2006), and from 1996 to 2007 she headed the Department of Textiles. Since 2004 she has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union. Member of the Council of the Kaunas Art Biennial “Textile”. Laureate of the National Culture and Art Prize.
