
Skudutis Mindaugas
Born in 1948 in the village of Antagavė, Ignalina district. In 1964 – 1968 he studied at the Kaunas J. Naujalis Art School, in 1970 – 1976 he studied at the Vilnius Institute of Arts with Vladas Karatajė, Antanas Gudaitis. He obtained the qualification of an artist-painter, a pedagogue. In 1977 – 1987 he worked as a teacher at the Vilnius M. K. Čiurlionis Art School. Since 1989 he has been a lecturer at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. In 1992 he received the title of associate professor, and in 2002 he received the title of professor. Since 1980 he has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union. In 2009 he became a laureate of the National Prize. He has held several personal exhibitions, participated in group exhibitions, symposiums, and plein airs. His works have been acquired by the Lithuanian Art Museum, the Vilnius Academy of Arts Museum, St. Jacob’s Church, and the St. Mary Magdalene Church (Kretinga District), Tartu Catholic Church (Estonia), private Lithuanian and foreign collectors.
