Juodzevičius Jonas

In 1971 he graduated from the Lithuanian Institute of Arts. In 1977 he improved his skills at the I. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad. In 1972-1978 he studied at the Lithuanian Institute of Arts, in 1979-1986 he studied at the Kapsukas Children’s Art School, and since 1995 he has been a lecturer at the Kaunas Institute of Arts of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union. He painted landscapes (“Tauragnai” 1973, “Rugiena” 1975, “Šešupė” 1976, “Tėviškė”, “Dunes”, both 1979, “Sūduvos kraštas” 1981, “Prie Alaušo ežero” 1982), portraits (R. Dalinkevičius, R. Martinėnas, A. Šaltenis, all 1978), figurative compositions (“Seni žmonės” 1983). The works are expressive, characterized by fragmentary composition, contrasting colors, and decorativeness. Since 1973, he has participated in exhibitions, individual exhibitions have been held in Vilnius (1975), Marijampolė (1979, 1998), Kaunas (1997-1998), and elsewhere. The works are owned by the Lithuanian Art Museum and the National Čiurlionis Art Museum.
